Brave Native is the artistic vision and musical exploration of singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Dante Brunetto. Growing up in Columbus, Ohio, Brunetto performed in bars and nightclubs around the Midwest until moving to Los Angeles in 2009. On a quest to evolve his songwriting and grow as an artist, he spent years exploring the LA music scene, playing solo acoustic shows and collaborating with local songwriters.

After attending the 2013 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, Brunetto had a breakthrough and returned to LA to spawn a new sound with a fresh approach to his songwriting. Combining the dance grooves and somewhat psychedelic vibes of festival rock with his sensibility for pop music, Brunetto wrote a batch of newly inspired songs and began performing under the name “Brave Native” with friends John Doherty (drums) and Chris Sung (keyboards). The band released their first single “Take Control” along with a video directed by Brunetto’s good friend, Rory Kramer (The Chainsmokers, Justin Bieber).

Building off of the deceptively dancey pop/rock aesthetic of “Take Control,” Brave Native followed up with tracks “Contact” in 2016 and “My Head, My Heart” in early 2017.

In September of 2017, Brave Native made their major festival debut at the Breakaway Music Festival in Columbus, Ohio as part of a lineup that included Travis Scott and Diplo among others.

Brave Native is now poised to breakout onto the national scene with a slate of new releases and festival appearances planned for 2018.
